Titanic Pigeon Forge Grand Opening

The Grand Opening of the Titanic was today. There was a great turnout in spite of the heavy rain that delayed the start of the opening ceremonies for over an hour. The event was free to the public and Regis Philbin was the Guest of Honor for the christening of the Titanic Pigeon Forge.

Members of the Walters State Chorus performed the national anthem as our flag was hoisted up the mast for the very first time. You can see the video by clicking here.

This $25 million dollar attraction features authentic Titanic memorabilia, interactive exhibits and tells the stories of the passenger’s who were onboard the ill-fated ship.
